The gallery is lined with elegant fanlight windows and the rotunda is graced with nymphs and godesses. Looking up from the mosaic-tiled floors this is the rotunda framing a Paris blue sky.
Genie, sweetie...I was just comment in the previous post about Daniel Buren and your magnificent shot! And then...this one, very creative and wow "my kind of angle"! THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! I love it! I'm sure I have much to learn with your creative ideas and pictures! bisous Léia
Oh I just have to add, I really really enjoy your blog dear Genie. I get to see parts of Paris I have not yet seen and I am such a friend of details, like you. You see the most wonderful small details and you share them with us. Thank you. Bisous, Nina
"Mr. Blue Sky", "Up, Up and Away", "Fly Me to the Moon" ... all these melodies and more are flitting through my head as I gaze upon this wonderful photo. Putting this gallerie on my list!
Wonderful, Genie. This morning I finished the fourth of four lectures on the creation of Paris, 1600 - 1900. I enjoyed it, but I am not entertaining any questions about what I remember!
It's like an eye looking towards the sky! Wonderful picture!
ReplyDeleteJust picture perfect

Before it all scrolled in, I thought it was the Musee d'Orsay clock.
ReplyDeleteI like this 'wheel'.
Très beau cliché, et excellents contrastes.
ReplyDeleteBravo!

ReplyDeleteA circle is a perfect shape for an outstanding photo.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing picture, Genie. In some ways it's like the circular staircase of a while ago. Makes my head go around and around.

ReplyDeleteA giant alien ship landing in Paris.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue of the sky with the hint of reflections...
ReplyDeleteMore proof that it always pays to look up in Paris. I think I'd be willing to pay more just to shop here than get a bargain in a strip mall (maybe).
ReplyDeleteWow that is so cool! I love the ceiling and the reflections.
