Galerie Vivienne et le ciel

The gallery is lined with elegant fanlight windows and the rotunda is graced with nymphs and godesses. Looking up from the mosaic-tiled floors this is the rotunda framing a Paris blue sky.

  3. Before it all scrolled in, I thought it was the Musee d'Orsay clock.

    I like this 'wheel'.

  8. That's an amazing picture, Genie. In some ways it's like the circular staircase of a while ago. Makes my head go around and around.

  17. More proof that it always pays to look up in Paris. I think I'd be willing to pay more just to shop here than get a bargain in a strip mall (maybe).

  19. Wonderful, Genie. This morning I finished the fourth of four lectures on the creation of Paris, 1600 - 1900. I enjoyed it, but I am not entertaining any questions about what I remember!
