The unhulled strawberries so remind me of when kiwifruit first hit the German market and confiseries rushed off to decorate cakes with slices. Skins and all.....
miam miam! It looks lovely and fresh, and (dare I say it) not healthy but not that bad with all the fruit. Me - I'll take a tarte au caramel au buerre sale!
Miam-miam ... superbe et savoureux! Beautiful photo -- I love the play of all the berry colors. And, I can probably convince myself that since it's fruit it would not derail my diet too much ... Ha!
A thing of beauty—but not a joy forever if i got my sticky little fingers on it! And now I'm off to yoga to try to work off the calories consumed by osmosis just thinking about this and other French desserts (especially Holly's tarte au caramel au beurre salé!).
Marie -- I think that you are beyond fear in that department. Berries are good and the tart is so thin that it could not be that bad! The berry to tart ratio is quite high.
Paula -- Merci, and we will save une tranche pour toi.
Virginia -- Un pain au chocolat? Eh, non. We are talking some serious chocolate here... hehe
Halcyon -- Oh just wait, I will have a treat for you that is one of the best chocolate taste delights ever...
Randy -- The rasberries look divine. Hey, I like rasberries with chocolate too!
Nina -- I'll bring one to the knitting group you have...
Alexa -- Holly did not say that she has just completed 10 batches of macarons in about 4 evenings (>250 macarons) for a special order. miam-miam!
Starman -- I prefer those berries as well.
melocoton -- I think that you have some different, but tasty, pastries in Barcelona.
Dianne -- I do think that they sell a lot of these!
All the 'food photographers' out there must be green with envy over your capture of this tart. It looks too good to eat, but I'd find a weak moment and dive in!
Wow -- Every time I pop back over, I get hungry again!
Harriet -- Now that is one of the nicest things I have heard in quite some time. There are some amazing food photographers (and you know who I mean). Many thanks, dear friend.
Yes, it does look GOOD! But I may have gone for the chocolate, too....

ReplyDeleteIt's spectacular! And I suspect I'd have reached for the chocolate pâtisserie, too. If I'm going to indulge, I tend to go boots and all.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to lose a few pounds but you really got my taste buds working.
ReplyDeleteNo doubts! FAbulous! :)

Gringo -- Merci... it does the same to me.
Dave -- miam-miam!
JB -- Ewww... can you imagine biting into the fuzzy outside of the kiwi?
Shell -- You have such charming expressions. I will remember "boots and all" as that is pretty much my motto!
Andy -- The great thing about this tart is that it will only be your taste buds and you can only imagine the calories!
Léia -- I will order one of these to come your way.
o2 -- Merci... I love the rasberries with a frosting of sugar. They almost look like they are covered in snow.
Paul -- Miam-miam, indeed!

Holly, ma chere fille, make a list... the pâtisserie hunt continues (20 days and counting)!!
ReplyDeleteLiz -- As a "stylist" issue, I would have turned that one strawberry around (too much white showing).

I think I'd reach for the pain au chocolat myself but this is divine!
ReplyDeleteV
The chocolate would definitely get my mouth watering more than this. I pretty much only like desserts if they're chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteBlackberries are my weakness as are raspberries. Good thing I wasn't there, you would have only photographed an empty gold tray.
ReplyDeleteYes please!

Holly made how many macarons?? If she is ever in the market for a new BFF, my hand is already raised (and taste buds poised)!
ReplyDeleteMakes my mouth water and my eyes glaze over. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlexa -- She said that one batch was less-than-perfect which became "family macarons" (and they were pistache!!
ReplyDeleteMargaret -- Merci, mon amie...
This is the most fantastic tart decoration I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!!!
ReplyDeleteÇa me met l'eau à la bouche!
ReplyDeleteJM -- Yes, and it is amazing that they could get it all on that tarte!
