Do you know these fine shoes? Louboutin! One could say that they are "all the rage" in NYC (and elsewhere) but they are so pricey! All I could do in Paris is lèche-vitrines!*
(lèche-vitrines = lick the windows = window shopping!)
I definitely agree with Leia -- I don't think I could handle anything but standing still or sitting down in those beauties! Beautiful photograph -- love the reflections and the soft focus. Though I have to admit that I am much more tempted to leche le vitrines du le patisseries!!
I know you were off traveling for work yesterday but I do hope you had a wonderful anniversaire ma cherie amie!
::le sigh:: even if I could afford those lovelies, all I would do is lèche-vitrines ~ no way could my back & feet actually handle those. Mores the pity. ::le sigh::
Reflect on that lady who just toppled over on the sidewalk. That would be me trying to walk in those deliciously dangerous shoes. Sigh. I'm not ready for SAS yet, but know that even if I had the money for a pair with red soles, I couldn't walk in them! They are so pretty!!!
Being a practical ol' Bear, I wonder if these shoes would give much support to the feet, even if they had lower heels. I suppose sandals do give some support, but not much.
These, while delightful to behold, seem an impractical fashion statement. Or is that redundant; i.e., "fashion statement" = "impractical"?
Yeah, not in a million years. I have a friend who actually owns more than one pair of Louboutins; hers are not so over-the-top, though—just gorgeous. This is quite a "portrait," Genie!
At my age, shoes like this don't even tickle my curiosity even if I had the money to buy them and the guts to try and walk in them. But they do make a terrific reflection for the day!! Great shot, Genie! Hope you have a great weekend!
'Tsuki -- Funny thing is that these were in the window last December. We are always being shown the fashions for the season ahead while we are chilly and wrapped in scarves!
Paul -- Candy taffy? I like that idea! Are you going to buy Karin a pair?
Springman -- Thanks for the reassurance... glad those days are gone.
Nice photo! Nice shoes. Were you window shopping or are you going to buy a pair?
ReplyDeleteFantastique et charmant!J'aime beaucoup mais je pense c'est difficile pour promener! ;)

Bises, Marie
I love the colors, but no way would I wear them, now or before!

There are so many things Bears do not understand.
Not pour moi! I think they're awful. Is my age showing?

For hopefully obvious reasons I'm not really interested, but the photo is really perfect! :-)

Very nice and a great idea:)
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Elisa, Argentina
I love them, but probably wouldn't be able to walk on such high heels!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend:)
Makes ones ankles hurt just looking at them. Great color!
ReplyDeleteAndy -- Oh no, I am just window shopping.
ReplyDeleteLeia -- Oui, c'est difficile pour promener! Merci - en francais c'est parfait.
Marie -- Merci, mon amie!
Bibi -- I could not wear those but might have once!
Parisian -- I love the colors -- perhaps we can get them in ballet flats?
Liz -- I'll order a pair of the ballet flats for you, too!
Bear -- Yes, fashion is tricky and shoes are quite difficult as there is nothing ergonomic about these lovelies... I do love the colors!
Virginia -- Hummmmm....
Alexa -- These were the most colorful in the window. What a marketing genius to capture the red-sole design.
Peter -- Well you do know how we loved the window shopping in your company. Merci!
Sylvia -- I am such a nut for shoes that I would love to have these for an objet d'art sitting on a pedestal with a museum light...merci!
Elisa -- So nice to see you again! I am off to visit you.
Joo -- I could wear them long enough to walk through the door... and then kick them off.
Nah, the heel is too short.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty shoe even if it is not the perfect season to wear it ;) ... Once again the glance you give us about Paris is admirable...
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this! Candy taffy shoes for kids of fashion designers...who'd of thunk it?
ReplyDeleteLovely shoes and don't let the old guy's fool you, we all owned a pair of chunky platforms back in the Disco days!
ReplyDeleteStarman -- Surely you are teasing me....

A bit high for me, perhaps - but all for a good reflection :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Great shot and very nice pair of shoes!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't like to have to walk with those though!
