I think that if I lived in Paris I would love to have this whimsical blue lion greeting me each day. He looks a bit thirsty to me!
12, rue de Tournon
I'm off on an adventure with Nanette to find some castanets -- I will still be posting daily but with fewer comments until I return.
What a beautiful blue door with the brass handle ~ very elegant! definitely a Parisian door leading into some-where very opulent!

Beautiful door! It's so majestic that lion...even with his tongue out :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love him too Genie. I think he's begging for wine of course!
ReplyDeleteVery majestic, even while he's poking his tongue out at us. :)
ReplyDelete..or stoned...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Virginia... I think he's thirsting for a bon vieux pinard!
ReplyDeleteActually, looks more like a Poodle than a lion. But, whatever. Still, a very interesting door.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of door. The lion is a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly worth having a closer look on doors... in Paris, or elsewhere! (I talk about doors of an older generation, today it would just be steel, glass...)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely ready to lap up some vin rouge! Moi aussi! He is great and I can't wait to see all the other lion & fang photos.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels - miss you!
This reminds me of the dsimhasana yoga pose. And I love this blue dooe!
ReplyDeleteThese were actually double blue lion doors!! You don't think that they would notice if just one of them disappeared do you?
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for all the kind comments in my absence!
