Ces chaussures étaient faites pour marcher...

Not for moi! Not sure that these are my style but these chaussures à talons appear to be très cher! We spied these in a window walking along Rue de Poitou en juin. (Ouch!)

  1. €420 for a pair of shoes? Pretty much par for the course from my experience....

  2. Those are some very patriotic shoes.

Château-G -- Merci pour la traduction et pour ta visite.

Starman -- I will have to check on your travels. Hope you guys are having a great vacation.

  5. Definitely better in a photo than on my feet -- Double "Ouch!" -- one for the pain in the wallet and one for the agony of the feet!

  6. Paul -- I have some for another day that may appeal more to you and a virtual pair for Ms. K (Louboutin!) -- oh la la!

  7. They remind me of something out of Lady Gaga's telephone clip..

  8. I'd love to see Wonder Woman wearing those ~ wow! Having spent several hours vintage shopping in heels taller than these today, I feel sore just looking at them...

  9. Not in a million years! These boots are made for anything BUT walking, I think—especially on the cobblestone street of Paris!

  10. Well I've resigned myself to the fact that when in Paris I cannot wear my cute shoes at all! We walk way too much for that. These today may be patriotic but I wouldn't pay even 1 euro for them. Oui, Wonder Woman can have them!

  11. M -- I totally agree with you and if I were going to spend that amount it would not look like these shoes, ready for a patriotic party.

Brittany -- Hahaha! I think you are right!

Shell -- Ohhhh, I think that you are quite the Wonder Woman shopping in your chaussures à talons!

Alexa -- These are "not for walking" but there are many French women on the streets of Paris with much higher heels.

  12. Not my style but very unusual sandals. Quite eye-catching.

  13. Loree -- Me either. Just a little too flashy and busy. It would be a little bit like wearing a flag on your feet! Have a great weekend!

  14. Genie --I know! How DO they do it??

  15. I’ll talk about Oslo again, but while we were there 3 weeks ago I saw quite a few young women wearing these types of high heels, some on cobblestones. It hurt just watching them walk!
